Description
Designed for helicopter/aircraft hangars, spray booths, multi-vehicle entrance bays, large goods/vehicle bays and workshops, the Hector multi-leaf folding door is fully insulated and specially suited for larger span openings.
Available in a variety of configurations to accommodate openings of unlimited width and up to 6 metres in height (or more by special design).
Multi-leaf construction allows the door to be partially opened when full aperture access is not required.
Manual doors can fold within or completely clear of the opening, requiring minimal side and headroom.
Fully weathersealed for low heat loss and incorporating full height finger-nip protection between the leaves for operator safety.
Power operation is available for openings up to 18 metres wide, with a choice of safety and control options.

Arrangement:
Top-hung, flat panelled multi-leaf sliding folding door
Opening size:
Unlimited width for manually operated and up to 20 metres width for power operated.
Maximum height 6m and maximum size 50m² for door to one side arrangement and 100m² for door bi-parting arrangement. Consult with Guardian Doors for maximum opening sizes for each configuration.
Track system:
Top track:
5mm thick pressed channel for direct side wall or soffit mounting with pendant hangers to each leaf, each with a 72mm sealed bearing wheel, two 40mm side thrust sealed bearing wheels and toughened steel shaft, fully vertically adjustable.
Bottom guide channel:
3mm thick galvanised steel pressing with built-in threshold and chamfered edges. Bottom guides to be 35mm nylon rollers running on 16mm stainless steel shafts.
Door leaf:
Thickness: 52 mm.
Leaf construction: Cold rolled galvanised channel frame, with local reinforcement for hardware and covered both sides with galvanised steel sheets. The panel to be injected with CFC free expanded polyurethane insulation during the manufacturing process.
Hinges:
Hinges to be extruded anodised aluminium fittings with 16mm stainless steel pins with self-lubricating bushes.
Seals:
EPDM rubber seals fitted at threshold, jambs and all joints between leaves. A brush seal is fitted at the head. All vertical joints provide full finger trap protection and the overall door is fully weather sealed.
Finish as delivered:
200XT Plastisol outside; Colour: choice of 7 colours (consult with Jewers Doors Ltd for availability of colours and to obtain samples), 200XT Plastisol inside; Colour: White
Polyester powder coated outside; Colour: RAL (choice of any RAL colour), including external hinges and trims, 200XT Plastisol inside; Colour: White
Polyester powder coated both faces in RAL ; Colour: (choice of any RAL colour), including all hinges, handles and trims
Galvanised steel sheets to both faces
Operation:
Manual operation – (all configurations can be manually operated)
Electric operation using Ovitor TVRFC operators, c/w Westrow Type 1 inverter control panel with Soft start / Stop and an Open-Close-Stop push button.
Power requirements: 240V, 50 Hz, Single Phase.

Manual Operation:
Drop bolt and pull handle fitted internally to each pair of leaves, with odd leaf fitted with drop bolt and aluminium handle as standard.
Espagnolette bolt – waist height lever handle to engage a 30 x 10mm steel bar into a socket in the floor and at the head and fitted internally at the intermediate joints between leaves.
Active leaf – Single leaf used as full height pass door. Standard furniture to comprise black lever handles, mortice sash lock, external Europrofile cylinder lock with internal thumb turn.

Power Operation:
Drive motor to automatically lock the door in the closed position. Low-level manual release chains to allow each motor to disconnect for hand operation.
Heavy-duty pull handle to be fitted internally to the leading edge leaf for manual operation.
Espagnolette bolt – waist height lever handle to engage a 30 x 10mm steel bar into a socket in the floor and at the head and fitted internally at the intermediate joints between leaves and interlocked with motor.
Other requirements:
