GUARDIAN TI doorsets are designed for commercial and industrial applications where higher thermal performance is required in accordance with Building Regulations Approved Document L2 2002.
Leaf cross-section U-value: 0.548 W/m/K° (including performance reduction for standard reinforcings). Installed U-value 1.484 W/m/K° (approx.)
DOOR LEAF
Rebated edge, galvanized steel construction with a bonded mineral fibre core.
DOOR FRAME
Single or double rebate profile, mineral fibre insulated.
Rebated leaf rests flush within a recessed frame face.
FINISH
Door leaves and frames receive one coat of self etching primer, as standard, for site painting. Alternatively, they are supplied factory finished in any standard RAL or BS4800 colour. Specialist paint systems to suit coastal/chemical environments and foodsafe applications are also available.
EXTRA INTERNAL STRENGTHENING
5mm thick steel flats attached internally along full length of each vertical edge of the leaf for enhanced security.
EASY TO INSTALL
Tab-and–slot connections at the jamb to header joint. Recessed frame acts as a vertical ‘plumb-line’.
HINGES
114x100mm stainless steel high performance polymer bearing hinges. Grade 14 (160 kg) to BS EN 1935:2002.
Tested for 1,000,000 cycles and totally maintenance free. No lubrication needed.
CLOSER REINFORCEMENT
40mm thick steel and fibre board reinforcement for closer or friction stay.
LOCK REINFORCEMENT
Multi-layered fibre board reinforcement at the lock position.
